You will get trained in...

Financial Valuations

Financial Valuations is a key skill for particularly in roles such as investment banking, asset management, private equity and venture capital. You will delve into Discounted Cash Flow analysis, Comparison Analysis and Fundamental and Technical Analysis. Ultimately training you up to be a financial analyst.


Corporate Finance

The theoretical basis of finance encompasses exploring the role finance plays in corporations. This will include different accounting methodologies and analysing the various financing decisions corporations partake in. Ultimately you will have broad knowledge on the financing decisions of companies. 


Explore the future of money

In this everchanging world, the role of money has changed. Particularly with the rise of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology and the promise of a 'metaverse', the use-cases and role of money has changed. You will gain exposure to what these new changes mean for the future of finance and the different opportunities that arise from it. 


Program Outline

Orientation Week

Week 1

Get introduced to the program, your mentors and HSBC. You will learn how a financial instituition like HSBC operates and begin preliminary research on the program project.

Week 3

Development Week

You are now equipped with the adequate skillset to complete the program. Applying your knowledge onto the project in the context of HSBC and working as a team is the focus. 

Week 2

Competence Week

You will obtain all the required skills to complete the project. Through a series of skills lectures you will get a fully immersive learning experience and all the adequate skills.

Pitch Week

Week 4

In your final week you will submit your project for mentor feedback. In the final night you will pitch your project and findings to HSBC representatives and upon completion, receive a referral letter.
